RougeTheBat
Darn it... something else when I mae the skin for my new sabre it just isn't right. the handle (my model) is somewhat seethru, I realize this is the alpha's, but I fiollowed the tut by svosh and I must be missing something. I will attempt to describe what I do have, pleas remember, I have never worked with these before. my skin is a 1 layer image... no others as I am unsure if a tga can handle more, I would assume not seeing as the format is very old. I have one alpha channel. wanted a metal look to the handle itself, so the "holes" where the alpha is (the parts that make up the sabre) are a grey color... i am not at my machine right now and can't remember which is which black or white, but when I turned it to the fully transparent setting it was...the sabre was fully transparent except fo some lines, now I would like to use this in the future... but what is happaning? to put it simply the alpha apears to be changing the sabre itself and not the effect over it... any ideas? T7nowhere
You need to create a .txi file with the same name as your texture and add envmaptexture CM_Baremetal You can change the shader to another if you want, but that is the typical one used to give a shiny metal effect. RougeTheBat
This was totally my fault, I was told this yesterday and it just got lost: same name as the TEXTURE... I had it as model!
