New To Modding Need Help Activating a Mod

Hi I just started modding kotor i have worked on halo before this but nothing else and I was wondering how would I activate my mod I have played a few mods and that most have somthing were when you activate somthing then the mod triggers. What I wanted to do is Make Bo-Dur be sorta like Master Vrook I know a mod has been done for this but I want to know for learning purposes. So what I think I should do is change Bo-Durs stuff to become Master Vrook using the Kotor Tools and I want to know if that is right but im shure it isn't so I need help with everything.

i think he wants to make him look like master vrook.

 

if thats the case: create a folder called override in your KotOR II folder.

 

Open KotOR tools (this is if it's already configured) open BIF's And then 2d Array

and then find Appearence.2da extract it and find the field called PARTY_NPC_BaoDur And look in that row. There should be all you need. You might also want to check for Unique_vrook (i think thats what's Vrook called.) to get the model names for Vrook so you can give it to baodur. And make sure to put Vrooks normal head number in his backuphead field. else if they are in the smae module(bao dur and Vrook) One will lose his head.

Right now im willing to learn anything and thanks for the help but im a little stuck when i extract the 2da file how all i extract is the 2da file were am i supposed to find PARTY_NPC_BaoDur?

When you recruit BaoDur, his head "Should" look like Master Vrook or you did something wrong.
