Jeff
As the subject states, i am having a problem opening GMax and was wondering if anyone else got the same error as me, and if they know what to do to get rid of it. The full error is "Interactive 3D Renderer initialization failed. Please check your device settings by using the -H command." Then it just closes the program. Has anyone else gotten this? Razorfish.8
Yea, what you have to do is go to your Windows "Start" menu, select "Run", browse for your GMax executable (wherever you installed GMax), and then add a -h after the command. For example, "C:\Program Files\GMax\gmax.exe" -h Run the command, and you will be presented with an option box to change your 3d driver from its current settings. Pick a different one and try loading the program again.
Jeff
"C:\Downloads\Kotor II\gmax12.exe"-H Error: Windows cannot find the file "C:\Downloads\Kotor II\gmax12.exe"-H. Make sure you typed it in right... Hopefully I'll figure it out because it doesn't sound like this happened to anybody else... EDIT: figured it out, I wasn't putting a space between the file source and the -h. EDIT2: it opens, but there is never any option for changing the graphics. It just says "if you continue this will remove Gmax from your computer. Click cancel to stop..."

You used a capital H, unlike Razorfish...
