Serenity Trailer is here!

After such a long time of waiting, the trailer to the Firefly-based movie, Serenity is on apple!

For those of you who don't know, Firefly was a short-lived series on Fox created by Joss Whedon. It was a mix of sci-fi and western and had a really unique feel to it.

 

Basically the show was about a Captain named Malcom Reynolds, who was on the losing side of a huge galactic civil war. Now, he controls a firefly-class ship called Serenity and has a small, but loyal crew. They go around the outer part of the galaxy pulling off small crimes, transporting passengers, whatever gives them money.

But Mal gets more than he bargains for when he takes aboard 2 fugitives: a brother and a sister, and the Alliance (the side that won the war earlier) will do anything to get her back.

 

The movie seems to focus more on the sister, River, and it looks like it might answer some questions that the show left fans wondering about.

It was an interesting trailer. It may be a movie that is worth checking out. I would probably be more interested in it if I had ever seen the show.

 

I also see that it has Steve the Pirate, GARRR!!

Anything with the awesome Adam Baldwin in it is worth checking out.

the complete firefly series is on dvd. you can prolly find it at anyplace that sells dvds if you want to find out more abut the show before the movie comes out.

 

joss said that you dont have to have seen the show to understand the movie; that it was made for non-viewers and fans, but if you watch a few eps you could get a godo backstory on the characters and stuff.
