Guest Pystdoff
I made it this far without cheating (easy mode) and this is the toughest mission yet. I get clear to the part where I dock with the station and the stolen shuttle takes off, but as soon as I call for re-enforcements and exit the hanger to protect the shuttle from the TIE Bombers I get my ass kicked. It`s almost like the game is cheating...the TIE fighters fire like 3 times faster than normal and almost NEVER miss you, no matter how much you try to dodge `em....I`m usually dead after about 5 seconds after leaving the station. I`ve tried almost everything...deverting all power to engines and running like hell (usually gives you an extra 2 seconds of mission time) or dogfighting (instant death). I never had this problem on any other mission even in the YT1300, I usually only lose because a critical craft gets smoked. I actually thought I was damn good at this game untill this mission. If anyone else has had this much problems with this mission and somehow managed to beat it without cheating let me know...thanks for the time it took to read this. Guest RDean
I don't know if it will work for you or not, but my strategy was to divert all power to engines and use autofire to take out the ties. That way you can fly all over the place evading and try to get the crap out of there and also get some ties off your butt with the autofire. Good Luck. K_Kinnison
Remeber 2 things about the AI, they are predictable in thier movment, and they cannot do high deflection shooting. That means, have them at you 3 or 9 o'clock. Also i allways have lasers at -2 (all to engines) and shilds to even or higher. Keep your speed above 100 MGLTs and you should be able to live long enuf. Anotehr trick in that mission: The Gig is up when you dock with the station, one thing you can do is Pick-up the tyderium, and move it to the Hyper Bouy, then go back and dock, the commandos will Be teleported to the Shuttle, and all you have to worry about is not getting killed to fast
ME_Jeldren
Simply don't call Rogue after you have finished docking. Leave the station and get some distance between you and the ties. Then just hop into the turret and kill them. I completed the mission without getting hit.
Guest Vark111
I finished this mission by staying inside the station. Just figured out which "tube" the T/B's were launching from, placed myself in that tube, and fragged them as they appeared in front of me. Never left the station until the shuttle was long gone, and then just redirected power and got the hell out of Dodge. ------------------ Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day... Guest RDean
Wow, I like that strategy Vark111 Kill them while they are launching. I'll have to try that myself next time. Even though my method worked that would be cool to try.

Guest garyah99
Another thing to remember is that if you don't have the 2.02 patch, the difficulty levels are reversed. Get the patch first ( and install it ), the you can either dock with te platform and let the commandos out, then take off and blast the TIEs before calling rogue, or you can wait and play it by the numbers, ie; wait till the commandoes are ready, exit, call rogue, etc. The main thing to remember, is that the shuttle MUST make it to thew jump point. Beware the bombers!! ------------------ Every time I think I've found the end of the rainbow...I trip over it.
Guest Kokeeno IOS
HARD Level with Patch 2.02: (don't play this mission without patch). Just wait until Sabra finish docking and call RS, leave the station after Tyderium but stay near the station. When bombers are launched switch turret to forward and kill all of them (two or three waves shoul be enaugh). on EASY (or even MEDIUM) you can destroy every ENEMY crafts for bonus points (after that go to Zhar system and reapeat operation. Guest garyah99
You mean go back to the custome platform?? Didn't know you could do that! ------------------ Every dog has it's day, but a dog with a broken tail has a weak end.
Guest Kokeeno IOS
Yes, you can visit custom station again, but it's hard to get points for station, because Star Destroyer fires at staion. But you can collect points for other crafts (even for SD).
Guest garyah99
Does it matter if you get ID'd?? 'Cause I know that's one of the mission goals, is to avoid being ID'd by the Imps. ------------------ Every dog has it's day, but a dog with a broken tail has a weak end. Guest Kokeeno IOS
You cannot be IDed before docking the station. After docking ID objective is no longer valid.

Guest LIZZO
You can sort of avoid fighting if you do this: - Instead of boarding the station fly inside it and pick up the shuttle (shift-P). Once you've done that fly as quickly to the nav-buoy and release the shuttle and it hyperspaces away. Then dump all power to engines and get far way from the TIE-Bombers (about 25km/clikcs from station) then you have to turn around the bombers and fly back to the station and dock. When you have docked dump all power to engines and fly away free!!
Guest Dark Dude
I'm also having trouble with this level, its Imposible! I've tried to pick it up but i end up getting ID'ed before i get to the hyperbouy. I haven't got the patch, do you know where to get it?
Abolisher
You guys are real tricksters! It took me awhile but I finally completed the mission the hard (realistic) way, and its still a tough mission. Never thought of the "cheats u guys use . Anyway, when you complete the mission, it is easy to kill all of the remaining TIEs and then the ISD. All you have to do is get the ties on your tail, match speed with them when they are 0.8 to 1.4 clicks away. At that distance, they won't shoot, but you can really waste 'em by jumping to the gunners turret. In the YT 1300, you will probably have to redirect lasers and some shields to engines to match speed with the T/Is. Once the TIEs are gone, you can destroy the ISD at your liesure. In fact, you can use this approach in any mission ------------------ If you strike me down, I shall become more decomposed than you could possibly imagine. Guest garyah99
Actually, I've always found the ISD to be invulnerable. I've always been able to get down to 1% hull but that's as far as it will go. The same with the station. You Can't destroy it. ------------------ "I get by with a little help from my friends...."

Guest DailyRich
Here's my beef -- I got past the checkpoint without being ID'd. Got to the outpost, still not ID'd. Got inside, docked, dropped off the commandos, left when they told me to. Called for reinforcements -- which NEVER showed up. I took out all the TIEs myself, and waited for the shuttle to come out. Nothing. So I took out the ISD. Still no shuttle or Rogue squadron. After the ISD blows, the shuttle finally comes out, and hypers away. I follow it, and dock -- and look and see that, apparently, according to the objectives, I NEVER boarded the outpost. Even though the shuttle objectives were met, which would be impossible if I never docked to unload the commandos. I have the 2.02 patch, and I'm probably just going to skip the mission -- I'm not going through all that again just over a glitch. I lost a damn lot of points though. Anybody have any idea what happened?
Guest DailyRich
Nevermind, figured it out. When the commandos gave me the signal to launch, I hit shift+D again to disengage, instead of throttling up. Somehow, even though I'd successfully docked and dropped everyone off, technically this aborted the docking, so it never took place. So I went back and did it, and Rogue squadron showed up and the whole thing took a LOT less time than the first. Was still cool to see that ISD cook up though. Guest Marril
I think "Ace" should have tried his hand at being the con man. Though it'd wreck the character something fierce, it'd be a bit more realistic (the Imps don't like droids, if you'll remember).
Guest jmillheiser
Thats weird i had no problem with this mission and i completed it before i got the patch. i docked left when i was told to called RS kicked the TIEs butts and as soon as the shuttle left i left. one thing i did was to stick around and play with the T/Bs to keep them from IDing the shuttle. I kept shields on max and lasers off and used autofire. My only problem was getting IDed before i got to the station. I got IDed my first 2 times i finished the 3rd time
