toms
Nearly 25,000 civilians have died violently in Iraq since the US-led invasion in March 2003, a report says. The dossier, based on media reports, says US-led forces were responsible for more than a third of the deaths. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/4692589.stm [edit] about 1 in every 1,000 of the population apparently. TK-8252
Yeah, it's really sad. Like you said it'd be like six 9/11 attacks on Iraq.
RevanA4
yeah that is a terrible tragety and occording to military offical's most were caused when our so call laser guided bombs when off corse or a stray missle or some other malfunction:disaprove but the thing is that they were using an outdated map from desert storm or some while ago not a current one:dozey:
toms
I seem to remember them saying that this time (after all their bombs going astray in the first gulf war) the bombs were much better and more acurate. I think they've been duped by the weapons manufacturers, who've put hte same chips in a new V2 casing.
RevanA4
true but most of our stray bombs are due to the fact that they are using an outdated map
toms
Maybe they were using MSN World... it seems to mostly use may data from around 1992... Still, its a fairly sobering thought when you realise exactly what "collateral damage" actually means...
