Semi-WIP idea....

Well, it seems that the main reason for you to go to Korriban is purely instructive, yes? To teach you about the Ancient Sith. I noticed, however, that you get taught nothing about the Jedi. And as Kreia is trying to teach you to be neutral like her (or at least to see there are two sides to the Force, and that neither is necessarily superior ;) ). So, I thought that a nice idea to balance this would be Rhen Var, tomb of Ulic Qel-Droma, re-using 261 and 262 TEL, and the Korriban Tomb.

 

There are two ideas as to how you get there. The first is that you have to take a shuttle down due to the weather conditions, which would require a Republic ship above the planet, with which the Ebon Hawk would need to dock.

 

The second is that is that Kreia uses the force to telekinetically transport you down to the citadel top. However this makes almost no sense, however it makes more sense than the third option - use the shuttle in the EH's docking bay (new module, placeable switch to lift...

 

Or the fourth option, you activate the EH's disguise device, or disguise it using the Force.....

 

When you arrive, depending on which landing idea I decide on, you find a group of possibly stranded (depending on how you come down) archaeologists, excavating the site, as the weather on Rhen Var has almost completely hidden the site.....

 

They need you to explore the tomb, as it will not open to non-Force-sensitives. You explore it and find Ulic's ghost, which will tell you of his life, and (if you are LS) teach you a new LS force power, or (if you are DS) fight you.

 

You then go back upstairs and tell the archaeologists about what you found. You collect your reward and either return it for uber-lightsidedness, or accept it, or demand more, and possibly kill them all.

 

If the stranded idea is gone for, you may also have to fix their radio transceiver.

 

Obviously, some parts of the Telos Academy would have to be blocked off using locked/invisible doors (or you can't get through due to some junk in the way ;) )

 

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, I could do with some help...If anyone is interested...I could use a module editor, and some script advice and some help with the dialogue/character/script creation.....

sounds like an interesting idea. Although I am curious as to why a jedi tomb would be on Korriban... (or are you attempting to make a new planet with this mod, I was confused about what you were talking about doing)

 

 

If I could make a suggestion however, I think an idea similar to the korriban tomb already in the game would be a better idea if you're trying to balance the light/darkside information and points.

 

Possibly first run into a few visions of jedi masters (possibly Vrook, Vandar *I think Vandar's model and skin are in TSL, though I'm not 100% sure of this*, or just random jedi that have yet to be named), who talk to you, possibly awarding you lightside points if you make the right dialogue choices, and attack you if you don't. If you lose to them, maybe activate a similar script to the one in the korriban tomb that'll stop you from dying, but instead of giving you darkside points, it'll give you lightside.

 

Maybe include a few other visions similar, but different (lightside characters with chances to gain lightside points) to the ones in the tomb already in the game (I can't remember the name of the tomb at the moment).

 

But either way it sounds like a great idea. :D good luck on it. :cool:

1) The tomb is on Rhen Var, a new planet. I would, however, be using the tomb from Korriban as a basic area to make into the new tomb....if you see what I mean

 

2) The visions sound like a great idea! There is a holographic Vandar, what's more, and that could be his ghost......Vrook is of course alive, but possibly some others could be put in....

 

3) Would you like to beta-test this mod?

You can make any character you place in the module into a hologram. If you open the utc file in a gff editor, you can set the Hologram entry to 1. I don't remember the exact name of the entry, but you should be able to recognize it.

Okay, I've sorted out the plot now. You land as you would in the Ebon Hawk the second time you arrive at the hidden academy. The archaeologists are trapped, as their shuttle was badly damaged. You do the tomb thing, findinig artifacts etc, and then go back up ,repair their radio and their shuttle's engine and navigation interface (some wires hanging out of the crashed shuttle on the top, lol), and leave with a reward or kill them for not giving you everything you want. Alternatively, you can sabotage the shuttle.
