Algardex Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 from ggmania.com "In his QuakeCon 2005 keynote, John Carmack revealed that The Quake III Arena source code will be released as soon as they can put it all together. It was also noted that the release "will not include any PunkBuster stuff in it". Watch for more news on the Q3 source release as it comes in."
CortoCG Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Yay! Now that guy making the Tenebrae 2 engine will prolly move onto quake 3 arena code an add some cool stuff =P.
CortoCG Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 No, it's not. But it's good for the community, since you can learn a lot about coding by looking into quake 3 arena's engine code.
Algardex Posted August 20, 2005 Author Posted August 20, 2005 source code released yesterday, anyone interested can get it from sites like 3dgamers.com, fileshack.com etc...
Fracman Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 Thanks for the info... dling now Edit: ok, as expected, its interesting, but nothing we can really use. We'd rather need JA source code, of course
