Lando Griffin
Yeah, u only fill in one row of the 2da, like theres say P_Fem_C_SML_04, small is consular, med is sentilan, lrg is guardian, so whatever u replace the so if u want the head to be a sentinal then write the head stuff in In like P_Fem_C_MED_04, med is sentinal. I hope this helps.
stoffe
im working on the new heads for the stargate total conversion and i want to know if there is anyway to make the heads i added available only to one jedi class. Theoretically it should be possible (I haven't tried it), if you make one new appearance type for that head in appearance.2da and only point the column in portraits.2da of the desired class to that appearance type line, setting the two other columns to **** for your portrait. The columns in portraits.2da are corresponding to the starting classes like: appearancenumber = Jedi Sentinel appearance_s = Jedi Consular appearance_l = Jedi Guardian When adding a new line to portraits.2da for your custom appearance, don't forget to set the forpc column to 1, or it won't show up on the character creation screen. masterchief2491
k this is somewhat helpfull and somewhat not... some of the work and some of the dont... ive done everything i can think of... some of the heads tho are invisible i noe the models are properly named the heads in appearanc.2da all point to the right place and all the things in portraits.2da are in the right colum with the right number too... i think it has something to do with my appearence.2da because some of the people (both male and female) are replaced by a big white dude with no texture for his body and whenever it reaches him it freazes the game... can anyone tell me what in appearance 2da would cause this?? masterchief2491
i dont think this can be done without messing up the other classes... thanx anyway for everyones help tho i guess il just have to think up of a new way to distinguish the people in the stargate conversion
Lando Griffin
THeres something wrong with ur 2da, u might have wrote something wrong, go back and double check ur 2da, ur heads shouldnt be invisible.
masterchief2491
the heads are no longer invisible i solved that its just that where there is supposed to be my new pc in the sentinel section it has some dum guy with a big white body. i dont think it can be done because it still tries to make him selectable in the other 2 classes but it doesnt have an appearence for him so it freezes the game. cry_of_paine
I would assume that you're going to have appearances for all 3 classes eventually, why can't you put in a completely different body for each class? I don't know exactly what you mean by a "Stargate" conversion, but for instance your guardian could be Teal'k's appearance and head, sentinal could be O'Neal's, and Consular could be Daniel's (going by the SG-1 group, since I can't remember who the characters from the movie were). I don't see anything that requires you to have the same/similar models for each of the s/m/l entries, so my guess is that you just have to have 3 entries to keep everything balanced. Or for that matter, you could just duplicate 2 of the stock entries for your entry, if you only wanted one class.

The problem AFAIK with assigning different appearance types to the same portrait is that the portrait for all 3 appearances would be identical even if the body and head models used differ. Since you assign appearance types for the classes to a portrait and not the other way around it may look a bit bad, unless the appearances for the classes are fairly similar.
