Drkange
I have searched the tutorials with no success, is it possible to mod pazaak and where would I begin?
General Kenobi
I don't know for sure but I'm betting in order to "mod" the card game itself you'd be altering/creating/changing the existing rules which I'd bet is scripted. I'd say your best bet would be to read through the scripting tut's if your interested in that type of modding. I'm more of a visual modder but a good scripting modder like Darth333, Stoffe~mkb~, T7Nowhere or TK102 would be able to assist in your endeavors. Out of curiosity wouldn't say making yourself win all of the time in the game make it feel "cheap" or not as good? I know I've tried uber lightsabers that you just touch em' and they die; their fun for the first few times and then it gets old quick, so just curious??? Regardless good luck man but your best bet would be to start reading up on scripting General Kenobi
Drkange
Thanks for the heads up, its just that the merchant on the Yavin station is driving me crazy but I want that 20% off on his items. Pazaak is a fair game but it is still stacked against you and there isn't much in the well of mods for it.
tk102
Unfortunately, Pazaak is a mini-game that's all handled internally without scripts. That is to say, it's hardcoded . The best you could do is script around at the fringes, attaching them to the dialog of the person so that you get your gold returned to you even you lose. While the game itself is hardcoded, handing out extra rewards such as Suvam's discount is not. I have a vague memory that I rigged his game so it counted as a win towards getting a discount even if you lost. I'll dig around in my old KotOR1 files and see if I can find it. Also, if you want to cheat in the game more directly you can edit the side decks of the opponents to give them really poor cards. Look in the pazaakdecks.2da file, the NPC side decks should be defined there.
Drkange
Thank you, that would help tremendously. I've looked into the pazaakdecks.2da, but I wasn't thinking of that. I'm not sure what to look for but I will find out, thanks again.

Drkange
Works like a charm, I was successful in altering the pazaakdecks.2da. I won all ten hands, received 7500 cred. and the 20% off. I wasn't really doing it for the credits though (I guess I just wanted to learn a bit).
