Rifty thinks about Leggos--do you think that's it? Hey, wait. That thought thing might come in handy--maybe.

Kilifa played cute, Biblical had to keep cool. Cool and clever. Cloover.

"And I'll be the leader. Because I'm good at that. I'm good at leading because I lead all the time."

That Renee girl doesn't seem to like you much--any reason, you think? She keeps... glaring.

Sarah nodded. You could tell she was planning something. "Okay then everyone, let's meet at 12:00. Bring some sort of defense tool if you want. And for all our sakes, go to the bathroom before coming. We're going right into the creature's den." She grinned and popped a piece of gum in her mouth.

Kilifa looked down at her stomach and sighed. "No chance of bacon, then?" She grabbed another apple from her basket.

My mom says there are telltale signs of becoming a young lady. Maybe thinking about legos is one of them?

Cute and sneaky. Snute.

"I want to be second-in-command. I'll take care of details and things, like food and equipment. But mostly food."

"You think you can handle all that?" Renee quipped.

Kilifa dropped the cute face for a moment. "Yes, I think I friggin' can."

I think you have a point there, Biblical. But, if Sarah tries to take over, we can always poison her gum.

My mom says it involves pain. And crying.

"Well, we could set up a trap. We could hide out and maybe make a base, and then wait for it."

She smirked at Sarah.

"That's why I'm the leader. Nyah."

I say we go now, and if they don't come, then we leave em'. We're the super-partners, anyway.

Cute.... cute... cute... argh, I'm not talking to an adult, I can be snarky if I want to. "Think about this. What does this lungfish do? Kidnaps kids. What does it want? Kids. What are we? Kids. Can we plausibly set a trap for it? I think so."

Super partners, away!

Sarah stuck her hands behind her back. "Weeeeelll..." She stopped for a moment.

Now, the choice was either go with the group and be a pawn in their superhero ideas, or go at night when it would be awake and out. Plus it would be easier to sneak a canoe around then.

For a moment her otherwise grey eyes flashed with red color. "It depends."

Renee watches this interaction with interest. Guess Kilifa isn't SUCH a priss. Though she mostly still is.

Hey, who said Renee Ann Soko was close-minded?

"I am going with you two, by the way. Oh, don't worry," she said in reply to Kilifa's not-so-concealed look of dislike "I won't break anything. In fact, I prefer to be a little behind. So that I can save your butts. Or, you know, just watch them get kicked."

"Yes, Rifty. We're going now. Are you coming or not? Then get a move on."

She furrowed her eyebrows, even though it hurt the stitches, and walked off quickly. Maybe once she reached the dock she would calm down and collect her Super-thoughts.

Totally not as easy as previously thought.

Sarah shrugged. They would go on their own, and she'd go on with the same pattern of life. "You guys enjoy yourself. But I'm not gonna be rescuing your brains from little green jars when you get beaten."

She began towards where they had done basic braining. Her plans remained.

She'll be okay. But, you know, if we feel bad we can always come help her tonight. Guilt can be unpredictable. And... I almost answered you in thought.

"Yeah, let's get some supplies and get a move on!" Kilifa said. She noticed Rifty and added a half-hearted giggle. Heh. Heh.

"Obviously," Renee said to Rifty, unconcerned by insults. They were going to have to come up with a lot better than Snot-head. 'Course, Biblical could just punch in the face and all this tension would be replaced with honesty. Honest pain.

Man. I could use some booze. Dad said that's part of getting older, too.

Biblical let out a sigh and slowed her pace. Maybe she could apologize, later. She was forming these tensions way too quickly--just like school.

"So, what do we need?" Biblical said softly to Kilifa, the awkward behavior making her nervous. She glanced at Renee, but didn't say anything. She wasn't up for tiffs.

I don't feel too super right now.

Sarah sat on the ramp, still chewing at her gum. In a way, she wanted to go, but on the other hand she didn't want to have to answer to a leader.

She pulled a sheet of paper out of her pack and unfolded it. It had been given to her by some strange person. It was supposedly a picture of the lungfish, although it was kinda blurry. She stood up.

"Hey, Biblical! I got something for ya!"

Do you know how easy it is to get alcohol into this camp? Kilifa searched her large tote. Oops. I grabbed the lemonade instead of the Peach Fuzz. Sorry.

Kilifa noticed Biblical's attitude was definitely not that of a cool, unshakable super hero. She didn't say anything to that effect though, "Well, first of all, we'll need bait. I want to use Renee but she definitely won't put her butt by that I mean, beyatchy ass on the line for it. We'll need Rifty's help to ambush the monster. Uh, but she can't know about having to do that. Oh. We need food, binoculars, medical supplies, and.."

"Hey, girls! I'm going to get some chow--I don't want any of Miss Prissy's baby food. I'll find you later. You better be at the docks or..." she trailed off suggestively before turning tail and heading for the Lodge.

"And a gun! A gun for shooting people with light blue hair. She dyes it, doesn't she?" Kilifa muttered.

I miss Sarah right now. But we had to make a choice... a not super choice. We'll make it up to her later, I swear.
