Rifty walked back from the shore, she gave a good large sigh. After all the antics of the girls she thought she would never be able to completly watch over them. She had to be very careful with those kids. As she walked back clowly she looked up and noticed Oleander standing there.

"umm... hey Coach" she said, with a sort of blankness

Oleander turned around, his trance broken, "Oh, didn't notice you standing there." he said, trying to keep his voice steady. He looked out at the sunset and sighed, "Sometimes you just need to relax out here. You know, smell the flowers once in a while." he spoke aloud, not really talking to anyone in particular.

Then he realized what he had said and blushed, "But I shouldn't be bothering you. You've had a long day, or so I see." he nodded to her damp clothes.

"oh, dont worry about it. Its nice to talk to an adult after all the craziness ya know, hanging out with those girls...." Rifty looked over to him. That weird feeling went through her stomach again but she decided to ignore it. But for some reason, she smiled at him again

Meanwhile, Renee had begun her lazy search for Sarah. The girl had been muttering about some cave. Or was it a pond? She didn't know, or rather, she didn't care. She just needed something to kill time.

Walking through some forest area, she blew up a few squirrels. And laughed. She threw a squirrel up in the air with her teekay and set it on fire. As she watched the flaming animal come down again, she noticed a small cave.

Eureka!

"Yeah, those kids can get to you after a while. That's why you've got to be tough." He said with one hand on a badge.

"But its al also nice to relax once in a while too." He added, not wanting to seem put-off or drive her away. "Do you want me to walk you to your cabin?"

Kilifa took a deep breath. Fresh air (laden with the smokey scent of smoldering canoes) filled her lungs. Converting oxygen to carbon dioxide never felt so good. Remembering the lungfish, Kilifa felt it necessary to be polite.

"Thank you, uh.."

"Liiiiinda."

"Yes. Right. Linda."

"You're welcome."

"Can you come back to visit sometime?" Whatever had possessed her to say that, she wasn't sure. But... Linda... might be a useful ally. If a smelly one.

"Yessssss...."

Kilifa didn't feel like continuing this conversation and just waved at Linda. She asked Biblical, "You alive there?"

Renee walked up to the gave, noticing the weird sign and oodles of water. Meaning it lead to water. Which probably meant the lake.

Round in circles. Oh, cripes.

Despite her misgivings, she treaded through the pools of water, until she came up to the end. Where she found Sarah, watching the going ons at the beach.

"'Sup?"

He smiled, if a bit gruffly, and began to walk ahead;only stopping to make sure she wasn't too far behind.

As She walked forward she managed to dry out her clothes abit by twisting the water out. She really wanted to start up a conversation. But her brain wouldnt let her think straight as she walked along with him. She cleared her throat and enjoyed the silence of the outdoors.

Sarah turned around towards Renee. "Oh, hey there. Looks like they found the Lungfish. And it talks too. There goes my idea of 'hunting the lungfish'." She looked out towards the lake. But there is that creepy looking sillouete on the other side of the lake. Looks like a building of some sort... wanna try and sneak over tonight?"

"Good," Kilifa said. "Because I asked her--the lungfish--the come back to talk to us sometime. And I didn't want you to be upset about being dead. As for classes," she added, jerking her head toward the path back to camp, "I saw Rifty and Oleander heading back... together. Interesting..."

They watched the interaction between the lungfish and the others.

"Well, at least their day wasn't boring as hell," Renee said sulkily, "Yeah, I'll bite. I'll meet you tonight. Wherever."

Oleander walked along, not really sure what to say but not enjoying the awkawrd silence either. "Look." he whispered, and pointed over to two playful birds. They were washing themselves off in a birdbath, spraying water off into a shower of droplets.

He hoped that she wouldn't notice that he had an afinity to small, cute, (especially fuzzy) animals. He hadn't told anyone. And the only other one to know about it was Raz after he had sfited through his mind.

A large smile came across her face as she watched the birds play. After a couple of minutes she couldn't help herself.she turned her head to look at Oleander, still smiling (she was smiling pretty much the whole time)

He smiled back, not wanting to break the silence between them but knowing that if he didn't say anything now, he never would. Come on. Just anything. The first thing that comes to mind. ...I'm not very good at this small talk am i?

A million things were racing through his head and he couldn't think of one long enough to talk about. So instead he reached for her hand.

Rifty Blushed extremely at that instant. She couldnt think of anything at all to say. She felt, somehow, that by this he returned the same feelings she had for him.

Sarah climbed up the ramp to where she had done Basic Braining. It was empty of course, but that just made it all the better.

She sat down in a more or less comfortable spot and starting planning. Out loud.

"So... tonight I meet Renee, and we snag a canoe, a rope and a couple of paddles. We row over to the other side of the lake, explore a bit, and maybe find out what's there. Then we go back before the sun rises and we're set." She leaned back and closed her eyes. "This is going to be so awesome."
