Guest Vark111 Posted December 19, 2000 Share Posted December 19, 2000 Diamond and S3 merged. Now Diamond's brand is only shipping with S3 chips, though S3 does some good stuff. ATI is still around, I've heard good things about the Radeon. 3DFX got lazy. The Voodoo 3 stunk up any room it entered. The V5 looked promising, but sales were depressed becuase it had a big price tag, and stiff competition from the GF2 and (then)soon to be released GF2 Ultra. I'm not suprised they're going out.
