Guest Scoundrel67 Posted December 10, 2000 Share Posted December 10, 2000 Looks like a hybrid of the USAF Stealth bomber (flat, pointy tail), the USAF F-111 fighter/bomber (shape of wings), and the IRD from XWA (fuselage & cockpit). Four laser cannons and 2 ion cannons makes for a powerful punch. This is a fighter/bomber, right? With this sort of shape it ought to handle like the Toscan fighter or maybe the Planetary fighter--plenty of pitch but slow to roll. Guest TK421 Posted December 11, 2000 Share Posted December 11, 2000 I made it up in my head as a heavy starfighter, the kind used to take the starch out of a Frigate commander's pants. It's very fast for a heavy fighter (notice the size of the engines compared to the ship) but not as agile as most (only slightly better than an X-Wing). It's more of a boom-n-zoom type of fighter, and would need some light escort if high-speed defense fighters were around but it can usually look after itself. Data speed: 130 MGLT Shield: 125 SBD Hull: 45 RU Roll: 42 Pitch: 20 Firepower 4x LaserCannon 2x TurboIon Cannon 10x Warheads I need a name for it... any suggestions? I was going to call it a Wraith Medium Starfighter but that sounds more like an agile multirole type rather than a high speed strike fighter. It's a big ship, 28m long, it has 2 crew in a tandem cockpit, what would be a good size? I'm aiming for a medium-level technology era where 1-person fighters have only recently been developed by the terrans, that's why the ship looks kinda dated (IMO) compared to Starwars craft. Here's a list of ship's I've built, they are all completed 3DS models but only four have been Opt'ed so far.
