Mr.Skywalker Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 i just picked up a copy of battlefront 2 today, so i brought it home and it installed alright. then when i try to start it up it says "please insert the original disc instead of a backup"..... i dont know what to do!! please help!!
zerted Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Try running the game in Windows 2000 combatility mode (assuming you are not in Windows 2000). Turn off any virtual drives you may have. Make sure the cd has not big scratches and is clean.

zerted Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 1) right-click on the game shortcut 2) select 'Properties' and click the 'Compatibility' tab 3) Check "run this program in compatibilty mode for: and select windows 2000 4) click apply and ok 5) run game If you don't have a compatibility tab, search some place like http://www.google.com for: enabling compatibility mode for windows XP If you don't know how to turn off virtual drives, then you don't have any, thus you don't need to turm them off. Why does "the DVD version doesn't work"? Where did you hear this?
