RpTheHotrod
Part III and its discussion can be found at: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=156238 You have been contacted by the Memphis Police Department that Johnny Wright's toxicology report has returned. It appears that he died from an overdose of CHloral hydrate. The medical examiner is examining the evidence of his death. A long black hair was found in the box that the bottle came in. Memphis Police also advised that sources in the city advised that an unknown person had visited Johnny the week before he died. The videotape that was recovered was a 36-hour tape and had been reused over again due to the fact that it had not been replaced. You ask the Memphis Police to find out if anyone knows a person by the name of Pretty Boy. They reply that some members of the criminal element have heard of the name but do not know anything about the person, or if they do, they are afraid to talk. The police in Key West advise that the bullet recovered from the wall is a .22 cal, but it is damaged and cannot be compared. They also advise that they have interviewed some known offenders about Kirksey KNicks. Knicks is a known hit man that likes to use a .22 cal firearm. It has been rumored that he has picked up a contract. Biloxi advised that a red hair has been recovered. The natural color is light brown. The hair belongs to a white person. The medical exmainer has completed his report. Gus did not have any STD and died of the gun shot wound. You go to the residence of Sarah Carson. Her son and daughter advise you that Sarah had died the night before. She had had cancer and everyone knew that she only had a short time to live. They do not know anything about the killing of Gus. She took a turn for the worst the day after Gus died. Gus had paid all of Sarah's medical bills. They are the children of Sarah's first marriage and after their father died of a heart attack 30 years ago, Gus financially supported them and paid for their college tuition. A week prior to Gus' death, an attorney, who was retained by Gus, examined Sarah's will and also notified the children that they would be well taken care of when Sarah died. You are advised that the cleaning lady for Larry Jones has found his body in his apartment. On your arrival, you observe Larry Jones nude in bed. The medical examiner stated that he appears to have died some time in the evening of August 28, 1999. The maid was interviewed and she stated that Larry had called her early in the morning on August 28, 1999 and asked her to do a special cleaning of his apartment. Larry was a health nut and has to have his apartment sanitized every time it is cleaned. The examination of the apartment showed that it was clean as the driven snow. It did appear that he did have a female guest prior to his death. THere was seminal fluid found on the blue stain sheets of his bed, and soft music was playing on the radio. The crime scene search detectives found a small round piece of blue plastic on his sheets. The toilet seat was down, and the bowl appeared to have urin and some traces of bliid in it. You go back to the parking lot of the Snake Pit and observe two elderly men walking around the parking lot. The first man tells you that his name was Wayne "Snake" Youngblood. The second man identifies himself as Kenneth Adams. You being to interview them and they state that they both knew Gus and Larry. Larry was not a happy camper the day before Gus had died. They said that Larry was standing out side of his car with a female who was smoking. The female had thrown the cibarette down on the parking lot. Larry yelled at her about littering and picked up the cigarette and put it in the ashtray of his car. Both witnesses tell you that they do not know her name, but she was with him earlier. "Snake" admits that he, in his earlier years, was also involved in gambling with Gus and the rest of the gamblers. He does not want to tell you who "Pretty Boy" is or anything about him. He does tell you that if you want any information, you need to talk to RUben Gold, who is sitting on a bench drinking coffee in front of the Snake Pit. Kenneth Adams denies that he has been involved in any criminal activity. You go to the front of the Snake Pit and find no one. When you return to the parking lot, the "Snake" and adams have left the location. You again contact the patrol officer who stopped Knicks. He did not have any additional information to offer, only that he and Knicks had a discussion about him being in the city.In fact, it was a very vocal argument. The officer did state that he did a very good search of the car but did not find anything. Reading between the lines, you are very confident that both the vehicle and Knicks were searched. You ask the officer about RUben Gold. He stated that Ruben Gold is also known as Ruben "Rings" gold. Ruben is an old time gambler who wore a lot of gold rings. He was suprised that Ruben was in town. The last time that he heard of Ruben, he was living in New Orleans. The officer does know Larry Jones, but has never heard of Pretty Boy. When you ask about "Short Circuit", he tells you that that is the alias for Kennith Adams. He has not seen Adams in about a year. HE feels that if Adams is in town, it is probably for some time of electronic surveillance. The patrol officer recommends that you contact another officer who, years before, worked patrol in the area and was a natural source of information about the criminal element in the area. The officer is on vacation and will not be backfor 2 days. The detectives in Key West have contacted you. They have been informed that a group of exclusive call girls are on the move. This group is known as the "Mickey Finn Girls". They do not have any additional information on who the girls are or who is running the show. Later that night, you respond to a call of a dead body in a car that is backed in behind the Snake Pit in the loading dock area. On your arrival, you find the "Snake" sitting nude in the front seat of the car with a hose running from the exhaust pipe into a window of the car. It appears that he has committed suicide. He has a large area on his buttocks and under side of his legs that is dark purple. You find a suicide note stating that he is tired of living. The Pensacola Police advise that "No Nothing" had a massive heart attack and died suddenly while driving the vehicle. The medical exmainer reported that all tests came back negative. Pensacola Police also advice that they were told that a unknown man, believed to be Pretty Boy, had visited "The Jerk" sometime prior to his death.
