Guest Thrawn
I bought the MIB DVD at Best Buy the other day, and I went home to put it into the DVD drive on my lap top. Now when I put it in, it tells me that I do not have Macrovision, and that I need to get it. I'm new to DVDs, and I have no idea what to do. Can anybody help me? ------------------ "Noobies Suck" ThRaWn90,RAL_Thrawn,SOB_Thrawn Rogue
Psycho Tycho
Buy a DVD that goes on your TV. I suggest that. Also get many DVD's. You'll love them. X-Men looks good on a DVD Player. ------------------ "Oh mah goodness!"-SNL -PsYcHo Official Forum Psycho

Psycho Tycho
Yeah, that's true too, Nute.
Guest Vark111
Not necessarily. You get a good TV with an S-Video or component video input, you'd be hard pressed to see a major difference, unless you had an HDTV sitting right next to it. ------------------ It takes all kinds... The question is, what is 'it'?
Psycho Tycho
It really doesn't matter what kind of TV your have. It matters that you have a DVD player at least.
Guest Thrawn
That's nice. I don't have a TV DVD player. IT'S ON MY COMPUTER, and I need some help. anybody? please? How about a DVD starter guide, like what to look for in a disk that is actually compatible? ------------------ "Noobies Suck" ThRaWn90,RAL_Thrawn,SOB_Thrawn Rogue 6 [This message has been edited by Thrawn (edited February 02, 2001).]
Keyan Farlander
That's weird. I have no idea why it would say that. Are you using a software decoder, or is there a hardware decoder in there somewhere? JR2000Z
Get Microvision.
Guest Thrawn
Keyan, speak to me as you would a young child, for I know nothing of DVD's . The DVD drive has a chip where you put the CD it looks to me, so does that mean I have a decoder built in? And I would get macrovision if i could find it online somewhere to download. I rented a couple DVDs from Blockbuster the other day and they ran fine. ------------------ "Noobies Suck" ThRaWn90,RAL_Thrawn,SOB_Thrawn Rogue

Keyan Farlander
Actually, this could be trouble with some extra thing on the DVD when it autoruns. Try loading it in and starting the program that you use to view the DVD yourself.
