Guest Zoom Rabbit Posted February 26, 2001 Posted February 26, 2001 Nootle...LSD is one drug that is not addictive*. Except physchologically so, in unusual cases. *It is, however, extremely dangerous. No psychedlic should ever be used outside of a clinical or (in some cultures) religious context.
Guest Hans The Great Posted February 27, 2001 Posted February 27, 2001 I like Ridley Scott as a Director. He creates films that are full of visual details that draw you into the fantasy on the screen (Alien, Blade Runner) and Hannibal was no exception. The Brain eating scene was the most shocking part of the book next to the real ending of the story which was changed in the movie (due to the fact that they are planning a sequel to Hannibal). It was in the book for a reason: to show that Lecter is a dangerous loony despite his polished deportment. What I found interesting is what they left out of the movie: Lecter's origins, the events in his life that triggered his insanity and what really happened to Clarice. I liked the film, but the book is much better.
Cmdr. Cracken Posted February 28, 2001 Author Posted February 28, 2001 In the book, by Thomas Harris, i found this interesting passage. Page 299, chapter 57, second paragraph, line 5....... "She was now Mrs. Franz Rosencranz.........." intersting, no?
