zalcron Posted January 23, 2006 Author Posted January 23, 2006 does anyone know if u can auto resolve battles? i dare say when playing in a massive galaxy with 40 odd planets (does anyone know how many there will be) there will come a time when you wont want to fight every battle yourself, is there an option to resolve them automaticaly?

Now, about your questions: Diplomacy: I'm not sure about this so I'll let somebody else reply. Auto-resolve battles: No. The point of the game is to fight those battles. The management portion has been left to a minimum because of that and frankly it's better this way. Construction speed: Everything has been sped up for the demo.

MasterJack Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 The answers to your questions are as follows: (1) There is no diplomacy in the game (empire wants rebels dead, not talk to them) (2) Autoresolve is an option in the game (read this somewhere, not positive) (3) construction times and movement on galactic map were increased for the demo Hope that helps
zalcron Posted January 23, 2006 Author Posted January 23, 2006 sorry maybe i was not clear, when i meant diplomacy i was referring to non alignened systems, naturally i know the empire and rebels cant open discussions.
MasterJack Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 There is no diplomacy as far as I know with any of the factions. the non aligned systems will either work with the empire or rebels depending on the planet. There is no way to influence them one way or the other. You can "wipe them out" if they oppose you though.
zalcron Posted January 23, 2006 Author Posted January 23, 2006 thats kind of disappointing, i would have thought that planets would join the cause based on your conduct, having it predetermined seems a bit narrow.
MasterJack Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 it kind of goes with the star wars universe. Wookies will aid the rebels while the humans on corascant with aid the empire etc..
