Quality is better then quantity and Cracken yes it would be in your dreams wink.gif

I have one word left to say yet by saying this I increase the last word so I no longer have just one word to say I have said many words. Does this mean I should have said I have 343 words to say but if I didn't reach that I would lie again. Oh woeful me.

Well science is a big joke in ST in you take a closer look at it. ST writers often

don't know what they are talking about and make stupid errors. e.g. kilo joule

range shields, 300% efficency.

Not all of the science is a big joke, I think the "Hiesenberg Compensators" on the transporters is funny though.

Actually, not ALL of the science in Star Trek was a joke. If you look at the technology 35 years ago, consider the original communicator and look at today's cell phones. Consider the tricorders and scanners and look at today's CAT scanners and MRI technology. I have it on very good authority that with the advances in computer and microchip technlogy, it IS conceivable that within 20 years it will be possible to build a CT scanner that WILL fit in the palm of your hand! Consider the advances in Computers themselves. Who would have though 35 years ago that we would have what we do today! Laser technology, particle beam weapons, atomic fusion and many of the concepts from Star Trek are in the foreseeable future.

I hate how they just make stuff up that SOUNDS sciencey, like putting quantum in front of the noun so it SOUNDS advanced or something. There was an episode of Voyager where their was a subplot or something (it was a long time ago, i forget much of it) that there were things called "quantum fleas" ro something living in the computer core. I said wtf and never watched star trek EVER AGAIN.

I don't 300% efficiency is impossible, but it is extremely outlandish. A modern nuclear powered vessel can take their reactor up to 110% or 115% power output but at incredible risk to the ship.

the 300% rating is the capabilty of the equipment to run over a baseline mark set in a theoretical labratory, 100% is the minimum efficincy that a ST Engine should run at...
