Shem
UPDATED! Since PCGM is down and we don't know when it will be up again, I have a new link for this mod. Hopefully PCGM will work again!
Darth Calcyon
Sorry if this isn't the right spot or for digging up an old thread, but I just downloaded this and tried to install it but it says the archive is an unknown format or damaged. I'm using Winzip to open it.
stoffe
Sorry if this isn't the right spot or for digging up an old thread, but I just downloaded this and tried to install it but it says the archive is an unknown format or damaged. I'm using Winzip to open it. It worked fine for me to extract, so I'd guess your download has gotten corrupted. It can happen sometimes. Try clearing your browser cache (to be sure you get rid of the old copy) and download again, and it will hopefully work. If it still doesn't work you could try using an unpacker other than WinZip. 7zip is free and should work to unpack most file types.
Darth Calcyon
Well...I took your advice and cleaned out my cache and then tried downloading again a few times. And I also tried using WinRAR and 7-Zip to no avail. I keep getting an invalid file type error or in the case of WinRAR, an "Unexpected end of archive" error. If it's not too much trouble, might I ask where you downloaded your copy? And thanks alot for your help!
stoffe
I keep getting an invalid file type error or in the case of WinRAR, an "Unexpected end of archive" error. If it's not too much trouble, might I ask where you downloaded your copy? And thanks alot for your help! I usually get the "unexpected end of archive" error when a download terminates prematurely before everything has been transfered. Sometimes when this happens the browser still thinks all of the file has been received, so if you download it again it will pull it from the cache rather than get all of it from the source again. Rather bothersome when that happens. I downloaded it from the KotorFiles link in the first post, from the Australian mirror option, and that worked fine to unpack. Darth Calcyon
I was getting it from the same place just the U.S. mirror. I was just starting to think it wasn't just me because I saw a few others posting about having similar issues on this mods comment page. As much as it saddens me, I guess I'll have to pass on Shem's beautiful mod unless anyone has anymore advice. Thanks again for your help, stoffe! Edit: Well,I'm happy to report the problem wasn't with me or my PC. I decided to try getting the file from somewhere else (LucasFiles) and it actually worked. And once again, thanks alot stoffe! Edit2: Actually, It was a false alarm unfortunately. The version on Lucasfiles is the version before Shem updated it(the one that caused all the problems with Bao-Dur). Sorry for the double post RedHawke but for some reason the "edit this" button won't work for me.
