I am so new to this whole modding thing. Just loading them sometimes can be challenging - modders seem to think it's just a matter of a few simple script changes to keep things from conflicting. But not all of us can even do that. Even the instructions on how to do such a thing baffles me. Let alone try to figure out why they don't load. They wouldn't be released unless they worked - Right ? *Is there someplace I can leet the modders like yourself know how much I appreciate and love some of the mods ? and - or- questions to the modders about things ? I am still very new to this site and trying not to break any rules, still getting as much out of the experience as possible, but I'm still a bit confused on the vagueness of where to post for what and to whom. Most general Modding questions should be placed in Holowan Labs. Though the Holowan Spire mod is an older one and likely has no release thread in TUCE, you could try a search there. If it is not there then The Holowan Spire Mod does have a thread in Holowan Labs but you will need to do a search for it as well. (It is from long, long ago! Before the forum was sectioned off.) Edit: I found the Holowan Spire thread... here. As far as posting the proper thread in the proper place, you can go here and you can see that most of the forums have a description of what they are about. I am so new to this whole modding thing. Unfortunately this is how it has to be, because we have no official support for making mods, and as such had no installer tools, end users will have to choose between mods if they don't know how, or cannot figure out how to merge them. Sad fact, I know. I for one use the new TSL Patcher on certain mods of mine so end users can install my mods much more painlessly. But with many older pre TSL Patcher mods whos makers have gone 'beyond the rim' there isn't much we can do. They wouldn't be released unless they worked - Right ? Yup, but since most of us modders have only one or two machines we cannot test our mods in every possible environment, nor see every possible problem or conflict. I hope this helps! That explains why I get stuck, and no exit. Too bad too, got some stuf from a merchant, oh well. and yes, big help. You are correct about this mod having no exit, though you could try warping back to where you came from. As this mod was the first of it's kind integrating it fully into the game never came to pass. I found the Holowan Spire thread... here. (I will be moving it to TUCE! ) any info on if there is a page that tells a little history of how and when this site got started, how you became a moderator, and the others ? and who is the best modders out there in the community. History stuff for those interested ? Unfortunately no there isn't anything like this. Your best bet would be to go back and read all the threads, but that would take a ton of time! What is TUCE ? and if you have the time, I bet you know the top modders, I already know T7Nowhere is skilled, but what's the deal with Fred Tetra making the kotor tool, is he an advanced modder or official ? What's your story on Moderating and experience - or is that something you would rather not discuss ? "Not to mention make you feel like this " Yep, I was feeling that way for about a week, just trying to get in with the swing of all this.
