Guest Hockey_Beast
To put the Nerfs in the animal ners or to just let your villagers chop them up into little bitty pieces with the big drills. Those little guys are so cute arent they
Guest Lord Tirion
nurseries by far. If you chop them up, thats it, all their meat is gone. If you have them in a nursery, you will be forever receiving food from them as long as you maintain them.
Guest flameknight
hehe i havent played the demo yet i am d/ling it now, but if its like aoe, does ur food rot. also wat food resources are there. deer, boars and stuff like that my friend told me, but this the SW, i have never seen any deer etc... in SW???? Is that true??
Guest Yossarian
Big mistake. Maybe that will work now in the demo when lots of people suck, but the food gathering rate for nerfs in the building is far too slow, even with a power core (which is pretty expensive itself). You will get killed by your opponent in tech 2 because he will be able to advance there much faster than you.
EndSub
the food gathering rate is fine! I was getting 69 Food from my little nerfs.....you just can't really on them as your sole resource

cossack1812
It depends on the type of player you are fighting, if they like to rush you then you should slaughter your nerfs, if the enemy likes a drawn out conflict then u chuck em in the nursery as for other animals i dont kill em cos they look better as scenery then as a corpse and i just cant picture an r2 unit killing an animal
Guest Lord Tirion
Yossarian, you could not be more wrong bro. Food absolutely flies with a power core in its range. I have a feeling you did not have your nursery in range. My food just piles up with those nerfs in them and all the food techs advanced in the nursery. Lord JayVizIon
either i have workers on the berries and nerfs in the "slaughter house" nursery or i have a handful of nerfs in the nursery while at the same time chopping up a couple of them with 3-4 workers each. that way, you economize efficiently while getting a flood of food to build more units. power cores increase the trickling rate of food from nerfs big time, so those are really helpful... Emowilli
It should be possible to maintain a constant flow of villagers without eating the nerfs on most maps. If so I would put them in a nursery. They do make a significant ammount of food there and they don't take up any room in the population count. Has anyone tried a nursery, powercore first start? If you have close hunting or berries, so that you don't have to build a building for them it might work. Emo
Guest Luke Skywalker
I cant wait for the full version and have 100 villagers, lol, itll be great, youll be able to collect food soooo fast.
Guest Yossarian
I will go so far as to say it's impossible to maintain constant villager flow without eating at least some of the nerfs. Please prove me wrong. You need 200 carbon for a power core, plus another 100 for a nursery. I don't see how you can gather all that carbon, plus have enough villagers on berries/banthas, to maintain constant production.
Guest Luke Skywalker
Trust me its possible, i play AOE all the time and its easy.
Guest xwing guy
Nerfs and berries aren't your only sources of food, farms should be your main source of food while you put as many nerfs as you find in your nursey. And have all the farms built around a food processer.

As Long as you can maintain a steady supply of resources back by bse defenses it wont be very hard at all to build an army.

The farms, maybe, but the berries are stretching it past the elastic limit if you ask me.

It looks weird but i suppose its possible.

Of course in AOE it's easy to maintain constant villager production. I don't think you can do it in Battlegrounds by herding all nerfs into the nursery. You have to eat some of them. Guest Hockey_Beast
The nurseries can be effective but they do cost a lot of carbon.
