BongoBob
I finally have ubuntu linux running on the computer in my room. I have updated the sytem, been playin around, got multimedia working, but the one thing I can't figure out is Samba. I can't find any noob friendly explinations, everything is uberly technical/vauge. I typed sudo apt-get install samba sudo apt-get install smbfs in the the terminal to install it, as is said on the Ubuntu FAQ Guide. But from there I don't know what to do, or where to go, or how I do anything else. Do I have to do anything on my XP machine? Do I have to configure samba through the terminal? Any help would be appreciated greatly. EDIT: Also, is there some sort of terminal command that I can use to uninstall a program? Also, you can contact me on AIM at PsychoBongoBob, MSN messenger at PsychoBongoBob@cox.net, or yahoo at BongoBob7686 to help me out a little more directly
