Can you not just hex edit the Config.meg? Only thing is the length must remain the same (limited somewhat). I am sure one of them smart modders than me will have a new tool up soon enough.

 

Of course maybe this should be in the Mod thread to get more visibility. That is where I am going - I do not play, just mess around with code. I want a longer slower game, a Epic Mod to make the space battles and Galactic Hyperspeed movement much slower.

 

I want a long drawn out slugfest so tactics will be more useful. And slow down building times, etc.
