When Palpatine says of his nomination, he mentions others nominated, among them Bail ANTILLES of Alderaan ! Err - NO - Bail ORGANA was Alderann's leader ! You are all going to say - he may have been (yeah, right !) The Captain of the Corvette at the very start of Ep4 (being chased by Vader's SD), and former owners of C3PO and R2D2, was Captain Antilles. That is belivable because of Wedge being a pilot of such skill - it runs in the family (Leia and Luke and the Kids etc). There is no connection; Antilles is a fairly common human name in the GFFA. Apparently "Bail" is a common first name as well on Alderaan. Besides, Captain Antilles of the Tantive IV was Alderaanian. There's a picture of Bail Organa in the TPM Sticker book thing that I have, but he was replaced by Bail Antilles in the movie because they wanted to wait on using the Bail Organa character until he actually fit into the story.
