The video game "Knights of the Old Republic" which started it all.

The second game "Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords." Some say its better then the first one, some say its not as good.

This is a site with a guide to make soundtracks for both of the games, complete with covers (highly recommended). The site features soundtracks for some more games from Lucasarts. I listen to both soundtracks on and on.

"Shadows and Light" is a short comic which sheds some light upon events which are only hinted at in KotOR I. "Unseen, Unheard" is an even shorter comic which features Visas from KotOR II. I don't want to give away to much. Fortunately both stories can be found in one comic book which includes some more good to very good stories from the Star Wars Universe.

Also Darkhorse started a regular comic book which takes place around four years before the first game (highly recommended and very promissing).

If you want to read some more about what happened before the games, but what is part of the overall story, these comic books are your best bet. Every title in the timeline from 5,000 Before ANH to 3,986 Before ANH has relevant information and is a good read besides.

Right at this moment there is a poll at the Lucasarts site about which Star Wars character should get an action figure. Everybody should go right there and vote for Bastila Shan. NOW!
