LiquidZoo
I know there are psd templates available for the padawan robes for K2 (fantastic, by the way). I was wondering how I would go about making something similar for K1? Is there an easy way to take the tga file and strip out the detail and shading for the robes into a new layer? I think something like that would be a huge help to people who want to retexture robes but can't get the colors right (like me, for instance). Anyone know enough about photoshop/psp/gimp to know if this is even possible?
CraZy_B
I might be wrong but I think it's actually quite simple to do. -You open up the tga file with Photoshop or something similar -Turn down the saturation and perhaps increase the brightness a bit -Then get to your good old Poligonal Lasso Tool and select a robe part -Add a feather to the selection if you find it too rough -Correct selection edges in quick mask mode -Then create a new layer via copy Repeat the process with every part of the robe and there you have it. Achilles
Close. What I did was open the image in PS. Then I used the poly lasso to select each major part, creating new layers via Layer Via Copy. I used desaturate as I went to clearly show which parts I had done. When I was finished I packaged it up and shipped it. Should be very easy to do for any texture used in either of the games.
