Mace MacLeod Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Melodic Death Metal? Isn't that a contradiction of terms? Nope, can't say I have, and this is not for lack of having heard death metal. There were actually some bands that my old drummers liked that had moments--Entombed had a few cool riffs, Carcass actually had a whole album there that was almost like actual music. Can't remember the name...I think it had "heart" in the title somewhere. Meh. For me, once it gets above a certain speed, it just loses all feeling. And I've always hated the "Gargh Yarrrrrrggh blagh wooooooouuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrggggggg!!!" school of death metal vocals.
Sabretooth Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 heh, the video was funny, as was the song, like all heavy metal songs are... Honestly, I don't get it. Why do all those dumb metallers have to grunt and scream with their throats constricted all the time? It seems weird.
