SReedy85
How do you save a UVW Map after you edit - I tried to save it and it only would save it as .uvw extension and not a .tga, or was there something I missed. I created a texture and I UVW Mapped the texture so it looked right on the model but I know I have to put the texture in the override as a .tga
Inyri
http://www.cuneytozdas.com/software/3dsmax/#Texporter Try texporter. It's a plugin for 3DSMax. I don't know if it will work with gmax for certain, but the best way to find out is to try it (I assume you're using gmax since you didn't mention what software you were using -- it won't work with milkshape if by chance you're using that). Otherwise there's really no way I know of to save a skinmap to targa other than to printscreen it and paste it into a graphics program and properly crop it. Texporter makes the whole process much easier though, if you can get it to work.
SReedy85
Thanks, I'll test that out. Do you really have to save the UVW Map if you export the model ?
SReedy85
I made a custom texture for a model and in gmax I changed the UVW to fit my texture so it would look good on my model. Then, I saved my model and put it in the override folder with my texture, but in the game the texture is displayed as the default(the way it was before I changed it) - not as I had changed it. How do I keep my mapped uvw coordinates ?
