I remember there was another Star Wars arcade game made by Sega. You could play s single player where your the pilot and gunner and a two player mode one players as aa gunner and one as the pilot. It wasn't one a track. It was just shootingg ties and star destroyers and one super star destroyer and the DSII core. What's the name of? I've looking for it all over the internet.

The Rebel Alliance. They're the best. Enough said. The Empire sucks. Too much said.

Well, I'll be...

When I was a teen (mid-eighties) there was a Star Wars video game in the arcades, but it was strictly one-player...although there were both stand-up and sit-down versions. The graphics were very primitive, and you had little control of where you were going. It started with TIE fighters, then turbolasers on the Deathstar surface, ending up in the equatorial trench run from the original movie. It was the only video game I got addicted to as a kid--I spent so many of my quarters on it one semester in college that I couldn't do my laundry!

The next game I got addicted to was Rogue Squadron in '99. smile.gif

Yeah, I've been to Disneyland in Anahiem. They still have the Star Wars Arcade game. Right next to that, are the new Star War Triology Arcades. There were two of them. The name of the game is just "Star Wars Arcade". It really sucks with the piloting and all including the horrible graphics. The Arcades were right next to the "Star Wars: Tour Ride" in Disneyland. Man, it was cool to go on.

There actually several SW arcade games. I only know of 3. One was where it was just a wire frame from Sega. Then there was a 2 player going against the DS. Then there is a new single player from Sega that takes forever and a lot of quarters. But the graphics are awesome and so is the realism. I found it at an arcade at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown PA.

Oh yea, about that 3rd game. If I remember correctly, it had 3 levels. First, it was the assault on the DS (much like Rebel Assault) then the other 2 I didn't play were the Battle of Hoth and one level on Endor where you get to fly a speeder bike and take down troopers I think.

Well, the arcade game you speak of is truly one of the classics. I love that game! There's also a version for the SEGA 32X by the same name. It's a very cool game.

Yeesh. The one I was talking about was the wireframe, the very oldest version.

*!*

I'd say that makes me the most experienced Star Wars pilot in, say, the entire universe! biggrin.gif

I've seen pics of that wireframe and it looks terrible. The arcade game I was talking about was pretty good. The AI was good, difficulty, piloting would of been better if the joystick wouldn't of been so beat up.

Fighting the TIEs in that game was like getting mugged by snowflakes while doing doughnuts in the parking lot...

I hate redundant hipocrites. I also hate hipocrites who are redundant.

Waste not humiliations upon those who have ben made uncouncious

It’s like this: If the perp raises a fist -- you raise a 5 pound claw hammer. If he picks up a knife, pick up a circular saw. If he pulls out a gun, you respond with a short-range tactical nuclear weapon

And remember kids, never play inside a nuclear reactor unless you really really want to!

Was I supposed to eat the heads too? 'Cause I took nooo prisioners!

Hey fellas, the one with the wireframes, the original arcade game... I have it on my comp. If you guys don't know, there is an arcade emulator out there called M.A.M.E. & it is AWESOME! eek.gif

Aside from the classics like that Star Wars game, it has other games from a few years back, such as The Simpsons & X-Men, the one that plays 6 players on the double-wide screen in the arcades. There are really too many games to mention, but I love that classic SW one & just thought I'd let you all know that you can play it anytime you want. eek.gif
