Melee Proficiency affecting lightsabers?

will learning the melee proficiency feats affect my lightsaber fighting?

no you need the lightsaber proficiency

Darth Jay, yes I figured that but it would make sense that the melee proficiency also affected light sabers, they are melee weapon after all, and it would give them the boost that makes them the most powerful handheld weapon in the galaxy, anyways thanks for clearing it up, wont waste any feats on it then
