Cad
So I'm attempting to learn this, I'd kill Jedi-level bots about 70% of the time on 009l. So I DL 009m. Now I basically get saber locked, and then killed, every time I engage the bot. I didn't see any information directly covering the saber lock in the manual, except to say that certain moves cause it, and the mention of superbreaks. From what I can tell, I'm getting "superbreaked" by the COM every lock, instantly killed even though my dodge meter is 20 or so out of 25. It's unplayable like this... Wth is going on? I think Ace was having a bit of trouble balancing out and figuring out how much DP he should give to low level Jedi. Superbreaks happen when your opponent is on low DP and you hold attack throughout a saberlock. Personally I think this is too easy, I think that superbreaks should only be possible at full saber attack and defense (much like the other ideas I posted) and that it should be blockable awith a good riposte. Blockable/parryable just enough to keep you alive. This would require more coding and would probably make things more hard, elongated and complex though and I want to stick with what I said earlier. We'll see I guess.
razorace
Yeah, I think the solution might be to have a "base" level of DP that all players get. Maybe 50 or something.
Sushi_CW
Making the base DP level 50 would certainly help. Reducing the critical level to 25 might also be a good idea. While I'm at it, could we get it so that your DP is based on the amount of skill points you have instead of the amount of skill points you've spent? razorace
Unspent skill points aren't allociated towards Jedi or Merc. What ratio would they operate under?
Sushi_CW
Ah, good point. I have to admit, I've pretty much been ignoring the merc side of things.
