The Early Path of Jaden

 

Jaden Korr stepped on the sandy land of Tatooine. He had come on a vacation as, his dad called it, to the planet. His dad was in the local cantina and had given Jaden plenty of time on his own. Jaden walked toward the speeder shop. Jawas ran toward him as he pulled out some credits. Trying to ignore the squeaks of glee from the jawas, Jaden quickly gave them the credits and rented a speeder from them. Jaden then hopped in the front seat.

 

The speeder shot forward, Jaden felt the wind blow across his face. After a while of driving, Jaden saw his destination ahead of him. He had decided to visit the Famous Luke Skywalker’s old house. Jaden looked closer and noticed a crowd around the house. He was surprised to see the house was still so popular. Jaden sharply turned and headed in a different direction. Only Republic officers would know or care for that matter, where he was going if they weren’t stupid. He saw the old hut far ahead of him. Jaden increased his speed, and shot toward the hut. Suddenly a blaster shot slammed into the speeder’s engine. A flame emerged from the engine, he could feel the heat, and Jaden felt a strange feeling as it did. He leaped out of the speeder and his body slammed onto the ground.

 

Jaden winced in pain as he got up. Jaden spit the sand out of his mouth with a disgusted look on his face. Another blaster shot plummeted into the ground beside him. Jaden ripped his own blaster pistol out and shot in the direction that the blasts were coming from. He heard a loud howl and recognized it as a Tuskin Raider yells. Jaden desperately ran toward the hut. He slammed his body against the door. It instantly creaked open. Jaden rushed in and leaned on the door, making sure nobody could come in if they tried. Jaden collapsed in a chair when nobody did.

 

Jaden looked through an old crate trying to find something useful. He knew the old hut had belonged to Obi-Wan Kenobi. Jaden pulled out an old book that was in the crate. He opened it and saw a list of instructions. He soon recognized them as the steps to build a lightsaber. Eagerly, Jaden looked through the crate again and found a small box full of components.

 

After hours of working Jaden held up a newly constructed Adept-Class lightsaber, a style he had learned from the book. Suddenly Jaden remembered his dad. Quickly he switched his comlink and contacted him. The first question his dad asked was accepted it was, “Where the hell are you,” Jaden after telling him the answerer had to listen to a lot of yelling. But after his dad learned of the saber he was amazed and agreed for staying a couple of days as Jaden followed the steps to making a crystal. After the talk, Jaden started a fire and used it to fulfill the steps to making the crystal for his new lightsaber.

 

A few days later Jaden had returned to Coruscant with a properly working lightsaber. He was in his room packing the remains of his luggage, for his amazing acceptation into the jedi academy on Yavin IV. He would become a jedi, a hope he had always had. Jaden, ready to turn down his own path stepped out of his room. He said goodbye to his parents and entered the freight to Yavin IV and into the new world of his life.
