MegaMonkey
I'm not a serious fan, but I like Harry Potter. I got to know the serie trough my little-sister, who can be called a fan - she loves HP - and I noticed that the books are very good indeed. Something fresh, I could say - they felt like eating fresh bananas; and that is really good for a change. I enjoyed the first book very much, but later I found that the three next books are even better; and the farer we go the better it gets. The peak was the 4th book, wich was brilliant - I recommend the HP-serie to everyone. Don't think it's only for children; it may seem so; but I, as a teenager, usually don't read much; I still read the HP -books trough TOO quickly. The books are written to match all ages, 'tho I think younger children enjoy it the most - and to many Harry Potter is their introduction to the wonderful world of books. I've seen the movie-preview, and I'm not ashamed to tell I'm really excited about the movie ( there are 3 at least being made - and then the next 4 if the first 3 make good profit ), and have watched the preview actually numerous times ------------------
Guest Dr._Threepwood
Same here. I'm just curious on who the next books are written for. If they're written for Children, they won't seem right because it would be based on 15 year olds. But on the other hand It might not make some people happy cuz they are written for teens rather than children. I say they should be written for the teens cuz the little people can grow up and then read them. ------------------ Please Sign my Guestbook A Pirate I was ment Be Trim the Sails and Roam The Seas
Natty
I've seen the teaser for the movie and it looks really good- can't say I've ever been a fan of the books though ------------------
Guest The Feral Chicken
All I can say is this: Harry Potter My Arse! It is the worst, and I mean, worst series of books I ever laid eyes on. Terry Pratchett's Discworld Novels kick seven shades out of the Harry Potter books. In fact, I have here a list of books, all of which are actually WORTH reading Catch-22, Joseph Heller Silence of the Lambs, Thomas Harris Light Fantastic, Terry Pratchett Wyrd Sisters, Terry Pratchett Pyramids, Terry Pratchett Guards!Guards! Terry Pratchett Soul Music, Terry Pratchett Interesting Times, Terry Pratchett Feet of Clay, Terry Pratchett READ IT! READ IT!----->Men At Arms, Terry Pratchett<-----READ IT! READ IT! The Truth, Terry Pratchett All Adrian Mole Books, Sue Townsend (may be hard to find outside UK) The Shining, Stephen King It, Stephen King Misery, Stephen King All of these are much much better than Harry Potter. Read them all. Especially Mean AT Arms, The Shining, Catch-22 and Silence of the Lambs, all of them by good authors, unlike J.K.Rowling. ------------------

Taliesin
I am a mega fan of the Hary Potter Series. And I'm 15! Ok, so maybe at first J.K. Rowling wrote them for younger kids, but the idea of a school of magic is so unique, fun and cool, which is why so many people enjoy them. This may sound weird, but Harry Potter helps me fight away all the stress I get. It is a book that as soon as I open it, I am transferred into a place that blocks out all my stress and makes me feel really relaxed. I don't know why, but it does. I'm proud to be a Harry Potter fan, so there! But I also like the Discworld novels aswell, so you can't call me completely abnormal ------------------
