StarEye Posted April 6, 2001 Posted April 6, 2001 Has anyone heard of/played the Gilbert Goodmate demo yet? I'm downloading it now, and I have high expectations for this game. It's an adventure game of the old school I think, with beautifully drawns 2D Cartoon Graphics (like CMI) and played using the mouse. Try looking to www.gilbertgoodmate.com site for a preview of what to come. [This message has been edited by StarEye (edited April 06, 2001).]
BoneMaster Posted April 6, 2001 Posted April 6, 2001 Yeah. I downloaded it about month ago and it looks great. Looks like they still make 2d adventures

Blondbeard Posted April 6, 2001 Posted April 6, 2001 Looks pretty good.4th of may,4th of may,4th of may..... ------------------
Rufio Posted April 7, 2001 Posted April 7, 2001 ::cough:: RIPOFF ::cough:: ------------------ STILL the resident punk rocker! now with a new and improved secret formula. Stop pretending that you don't want me.
Blondbeard Posted April 7, 2001 Posted April 7, 2001 Though I must admit i agree with NFGB,it says tickle your funny bone just like it did on COMI's box.And the main character has a very slight resemblence to a certain Mr. Threepwood. ------------------
MegaMonkey Posted April 7, 2001 Posted April 7, 2001 I'm downloading it right now - I don't mind if it's a ripoff or not - I think the game-developer behind Gilbert Goodmate is very brave for making an old-school adventure-game, as they sure do know it's quite risky business these days ( I raise my hat - um - three hats to Prelusion Inc. and ClearWater Interactive Ltd. ) You got me very excited about this game - over 40 hours of adventurish gameplay; that is quite a long time, and definetely long enough to please a bored monkey ------------------
