Astrotoy7
Just in case anyone is interested, Windows Home Server is now up for public beta. Follow the linky and pop your name down to be in the running WHS is derived from server 2003 but is intended to be user friendly and manageable for home users to centralise data, in particular media files. Ive done a couple of setups with it and its reasonably impressive. Still, I know many who are server 2003 experts and are whining about it(though thats not really surprising) here's some more info on WHS: (c'n'pasted from another site I frequent) Microsoft announced the release of the Community Technology Preview (CTP) of Windows Home Server which means WHS Beta 2 is now available to the public! You'll have to be an 'eligible tester' by providing some basic info, but if you've got a spare PC on your network and a broadband connection, you'll probably be in with a big chancel. Remember, that WHS provides full auto backups for all PCs on your network, allows for remote file access and remote desktop control plus includes support for Windows Mobile and Zune devices. For more WHS information go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowshomeserver and or click HERE to apply for the beta mtfbwya
