NwN Editor?

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to find the NwNEditor (or GFF Editor) to edit a module. The link provided in one of the tutorials on this site is dead, but is there any other active links left?

You shouldn't use the NWN GFF editors to modify module/area files since the KOTOR games add two new field types to the GFF file format. If you save these files with the NWN GFF editor it will strip out these (to it unknown) fields from the file, which breaks things like cutscene cameras and minigames.

To be safe you should use K-GFF for GFF editing the KOTOR files since it' made for this purpose and handles the new field types properly.

Just in case you would be nevertheless disposed to try out Generic File Format Editors dedicated to Neverwinter Nights Titles, then I would deeply advise you take a look at those referred through the undermentioned web addresses, while keeping in mind the above recommendation. All the same, I have to inform you that I have never ceased putting to use the programs you are looking for without facing major troubles, regardless of the fact Star Wars™ : Knights of the Old Republic® may have indeed introduced additional Field Types inside former Neverwinter Nights' GFF files. The fact is that the entirety of BioWare Corporation®'s released entertainment products has ever impressed me enough to let me think that unsupported Modding Utilities devised and freely provided by this company might be more safe and reassuring to utilize than others having been developed by any LucasForums© member willing to bring aids to his / her community. However, in case what you have talked about earlier would be that significant, then be sure I will not miss giving K-GFF Editor a try as soon as I will need to operate onto GFF files of great import...

It's not really a matter of whether the tool is supported by an official games corp, it's just that TK102 made K-GFF to edit GFF files without corrupting them, mainly the .git files, whereas K-GFF can edit all GFF files without corruption.

And you always get support for K-GFF anyway, as TK102 is the creator any questions you have can always be asked towards him, so there is support to some extent.
