TrayusCore
I've been editing appearance.2da to switch the clothes of female scoundrels to this robe. and I've found the texture(n_jedimemf01) and filled in the 'texb' cell I but I can't find the model for it. The screenshot is pretty bad quality since I took it off of a youtube video so I didn't have to go through the whole Malak fight again. Also, since there seems to be a male texture could you tell me the male model (if there is one)? I'm pretty new at this so the chances are I'm going about this totally wrong or I'm calling things by the wrong name. Edit: I did just have a semi long update post but for whatever reason LF freaked out on me. Anyway, apologies for the doublepost but after finding a model called n_jedimemf I tried using that and the result was having the 3 male classes having NPC clothing (similar to the clothing in TSL) and the females having a jedi robe model in all white with the white female head with the brown ponytail unselectable. I'm guessing this is down to either me doing something wrong/screwing up OR I have a conflicting appearance.2da in there but Vista being as crap as it is it doesn't let me see all the files in there (if anyone knows how to see all files tell me please. ). I'm tempted to reinstall KotOR but keep the .2da behind and see if it works with a clean override. Does anyone have any input?
Dragoon ZER0
An easy solution would be to take your files: n_jedimemf.mdl n_jedimemf.mdx (you'll need this Aurora Model Extension) N_JediMemF01.tga and rename them to: PFBBS.mdl PFBBS.mdx PFBBS01.tga Then dump them in the override. You may not even need to edit the appearance.2da file. KotOR always gets all funny on me with models and textures. I usually have to hex edit the model files and change which texture it points to when I want to make anything 'unique'. [EDIT: *Looks up at join date* Guess I've earned that 'lurker' status ]
TrayusCore
I just reinstalled KotOR and emptied out my override and tried what you said but now KotOR has started freezing then having to close as it loads character creation. My Override is empty apart from the 3 files I just renamed. EDIT: It's not just character creation either, if I load a save and try switching to clothes it freezes. Dragoon ZER0
I'm not sure what the problem is. Are you sure you renamed everything correctly? It seems to work for me. PIC 1 PIC 2 my Override
TrayusCore
Yup, my override is exactly the same. I'll have a look at the appearance.2da and see if I can do it the hard way.
L0rdReV@n88
wow thats a cool looking model did some digging it is in tsl but you should rename the files to PFBAM as the mdl, PFBAM as the mdx and then pfbamc01 for the texture so this makes no 2da editing and it will show up as the female underwear model. if you rename the texture to pfbamc01.tga it will show up as just a white model for some reason or another. just thought id add to the conv. by using only pfbamc01 it will show up textured on a caucasian female im not sure what will happen with the other races. TrayusCore
I just checked my appearance.2da again and modelb and texb have N_CommF for female heads for both columns and N_CommM for males. I was wondering, should I try taking out PFBBS.mdl, PFBBS.mdx and PFBBS01.tga of my override and redo it with N_CommF.mdl, N_CommF.mdx and N_CommF01.tga? EDIT: Nevermind, doesn't work. EDIT2: I tried the original suggestion again and it didn't work. If I can't get it to work for KotOR I may try it for KotORII and see if I can get it working on that. EDIT3: That was odd. Re-tried it a third time and it worked. Thanks for the help, I'm gonna see if I can get it working for TSL too and if I can maybe release them as a mod. EDIT4: Finished all three female classes with a different version of the texture per class. Gonna finish up the males now. I'll get some screenshots up when I've finished and then try and get it working for TSL too. EDIT5: Got the male versions working too. I'll get some screenshots. Edit 6: I deleted my last post and put it's contents in the post before so I don't triple post. Anyway, I've done it for TSL but it shows normal clothes in character creation. I reextracted the model from the KOTORII files and plopped them in override and renamed them to what they should be. I'll take a screenshot of my override to be sure. The rest of the male files are just below where you need to scroll to see them. As far as I can tell KOTORII uses the same naming "system" as KOTOR but it just shows the default clothes. I made sure the files were extracted from the KOTORII section of KSE and not the KOTOR (which appeared to be the cause of my initial problem with the KOTOR ones) but I get this. Does anyone have any ideas?
