sounds format

What's the sound files format in kotor (tsl) ?

if i try to play em in winamp, it crashed, in miles player - i hear something like commodore 64 loading

i'm trying to find "ring.. ring.." sound, and replace it.

help me plz, if you can

If you're just trying to completely replace an existing sound it should be enough to save your sound in normal MP3 format and name the file the same as the sound you want to replace. If I remember correctly the game can handle normal MP3s in addition to the peculiar format it uses for its standard files.

I believe the ring tone should be evt_203phone, at least that's what the "ring" placeable sound in that module has set. It can be found inside sounds.bif with KotorTool.

It didn't work even if you changed the extension of the MP3 file from .mp3 to .wav? Weird, I thought that worked in the past when I tried it, but maybe I'm just confusing it with some other game.
