Display time for text in mods

As mods usually don't have voice overs, I ask all you dialogue modders: how much time do you usually use to display a text line?

 

That depends how long the text you show is. Clock yourself reading the text slowly (to make your mod playable for non-native English speakers) and then put that number of seconds on the node. :) It's usually better to have the delay slightly too long than too short, since players can skip ahead to the next node by clicking unless you've set the dialog or node to be unskippable.

 

(-1 essentially means "use sound length" as delay value, anything higher than that is delay in seconds before moving on to the next node.)
