Boss fights (fo real!)

No, not boss fights in video games. There's already a thread for that. This is just an idea that came from that thread. Have you ever had a memorable time where you and your boss at your job just went at it?!

 

For me, the one I can remember best was one time when I was working at an animal shelter. The boss got mad at me for using his morning paper to line one of the dog cages. Not only did he fire me for that, he refused to give me my week's pay which I was supposed to have gotten the day before (which is the reason I used his newspaper in the first place ). So, I gave his paper back to him and threw it on his desk. Of course, at that point the dog had already needed to use it, if you catch my drift.

Well... There was this one time... *chuckles slightly*

 

My boss was giving one of my fellow proletarians some crap. She was complaining about not having equal pay as everyone else (mainly because she was a woman and almost all the emploees were guys) and my boss told her that the company would pay her whatever it felt like... (In addition to making some sexist remarks...)...

Naturally, I get POed when intolerance rears it's ugly head. So me and my co-worker ganged up on the manager... I told him that she deserved as much pay as everyone else and that she worked just as hard... if not harder than everyone else. (This is Hastings by the way)... Then my boss threatened us that if we wouldn't get back to work... we'd lose our jobs.

Later... my boss pulled me aside and told me to watch a video...

Now... I don't know where he go the video and I don't remember it's name (Power of... something I think)... but it was about how employees should just do their jobs, do what they're told, and refrain from letting personal opinion affect the workplace (Which is completely hypocritical since he was obviously breaking this "law" of his).

So... I decided... this isn't the place I want to work at any longer.

 

He told me to write a paper on what I had learned from the video and turn it in to him. Since I was already planning to quit anyway... I decided to make that announcment through the paper... while informing him of how much of a sexist, controlling, authoritarian he was. I turned it in the next day... simultaneously... I gave him my uniform as well...

 

Then I applied for a job at a cafe and got the job by the next day...

 

I later learned that my manager was fired and my co-worker got a nice little bonus...

Yeah... When I "lost" my last Job.... I am a Bricklayer, and I was working on a Building site, my Boss had been winding me up (well he was a jerk, and was generally hard to get on with) and I said, look mate your getting on my nerves just back off, which obviously spurred him on... anyhow, a few tools were thrown and some harsher words later, I had a broken nose and a bust lip and he had a black eye... Lets just say that was the end of our working Relationship.
