mur'phon
Ok, so I have had some problems with my screen going black and only showing my mouse after "movie" sequences. The way I avoided it was by changing the screen resolution before triggering a movie sequence, and then hope for the best. This worked quite fine, but when I used the config to change the resolution to the highest possible, my screen goes black showing the message "signal out of range". when this happens I only hear the backround music, and is unable to anything at all. Even alt+f4 and ctrl+alt+delete does not work. I'm using vista if it matters, and can give my stats if needed. Any help will be greatly apreciated. [/quote'] You usually get the "Signal out of range" message from the monitor when it is sent a video signal from your computer with a resolution/refresh rate it cannot handle. The screen then automatically cuts off the video from the computer since incorrect resolutions and refresh rates may damage it. Have you checked your graphics settings to ensure that the screen resolution and refresh frequency are properly set?
