Balderdash Posted November 21, 2007 Share Posted November 21, 2007 More than the EA on top, I worry with the decision of Atari to sop doing games. Atari only stopped doing in-house projects; they are still publishing games. That decision shouldn't really affect the NWN franchise at this point. If anything, if publishing is where they are placing their hopes, this suggests that they intend to keep the ball rolling with NWN. Even if Atari go out of business completely, D&D games are only licensed to Atari... so the buck could concievably pass to another publisher, in that event... hypothetically speaking. EA acquiring (assimilating) BioWare on the other hand, means that if they don't think the Doctors are having their staff spend their time in a cost effective way, they will put a stop to it. This means no more patches to games that are no longer making the company money. Which was my point. (Sorry mods if this was semi-off-topic, but I felt the need to clarify my other comments).
