how do you install skins

like you know when you download skins from filefront do you just like put them in the addon file or the side folder or something Im very new at modding battlefront I really need help

You have to put them in with the mod tools

how like which mod tools and how i've tried using the dds. coverter to get the targa images,and then put them back into dds. form then using the bcompiler to make a lvl. file but for instance I used the rep_inf_trooper file and when I recompile it I cant make it go into the original rep.lvl file
