I am on the beach in the edge of the world and I am trying to go down the conveyor belt but everyone time I get to the bottom I just float up and have to swim back. I have tried going down incredibly slowly but I just can't get down. I know I am suppose to get to the bottom and then jump down but it just seems impossible and I have tried over fifty times. What the **** am I doing wrong? I can take two steps at the bottom before I float away. I have spun in circles for minutes rapidly pressing the use button and nothing happens.

 

I just don't understand why they had to make this game so damn frustrating, many of the puzzles are just complete luck. How the hell was I suppose to guess that to get out of the tiny sealed off room I had to drop an axe on a random tile. Why the hell was there a valve in there? That just threw me off. So many puzzles in this game are not based at all on logic or problem solving but just random guessing or running around and interacting with objects.

 

I have given up and looked at three different strategy guides and none of them help, this has to be a bug. Its a shame half the puzzles in the game I assume are bugs and can't be solved, the other half I am just getting abused by a bug and think its a puzzle. Psychonauts was way more fun.

 

I just wish there was some sore of logical explanation for this puzzle, but it doesn't make sense at all. I float in the water but I cant swim down to the lever, I have to jump down to it. Every time I try to get to where I can jump down I float away. This is worse than the invisible drain, which I thought was just vanishing water.

 

If I remove the chain I can reverse it, but if I reverse it I can't leave, only jump down to the lever. Which makes this even more of a bitch to solve. This game is harder than Devil May Cry, while only playing with one hand.

 

I want to punch babies right now. How the hell does anyone put up with this game all the way through without a strategy guide? It must take like 40 hours to beat.

 

I can take away the chain and then get down there, so I did that, and tried to run up but that is impossible. So I tried to go back through the invisible drain but the door won't open. I tried everything, I think the only possibility is that the game is broke.

 

Nevermind, I finally got it. I had to go back down after I started floating away, hold back and left at the same time while rapidly pressing use and out of ten tries I got him to look at the lever and walk over to it. Funny how he can now just magically walk over to it.

yeah the belt is pretty hard, and neither was I able to go through the entire game without looking at a hints guide. Though for me I think I was about as angry as you are when I couldn't figure out how to pick up the ice mixer. Remember you can use the keys U or P.
