aron searle
I find it rather strange the the character you control has no sounds (no wooshing of light sabers etc). Only party members you are not currently controlling or other NPC's have sounds, Is there any way of changing this?

Watcher07
not sure which game you're playing but the original Kotor when you selected your player you would get some kind of verbal recognition, i.e. "yep, on it, no prob", etc. In kotor II, you don't hear that from your player anymore, but regardless in both games you should still have sound effects such as lightsaber sounds and feet hitting the ground, etc. Not entirely sure why its isolated loss of sounds to your character exclusively unless you have some kind of mod that altered the pc default sounds. aron searle
happens with no mods, and with mods, and with both games I should say i do get verbal sounds "yep" ect, i get some sounds like footsteps, opening lockers ect, but its specifically light saber or weapon sounds that are muted, and only for the character i am controlling. Ghost Down
Perhaps it's a audio-channel thing, I once had this with Halo. Whenever I was wearing headphones and Cortana said something, I couldn't hear her.
Watcher07
have you tried adjusting your eax settings in the sound control panel? long story short it determines what sound channels to push through what speakers, with the wrong configuration it could be sending certain sounds to a channel you don't have, basically what Ghost Down said. Also you can experiment with the force software sound setting to see if that helps, but I would first start by turning off eax entirely and see if that helps, if it does, then just keep increasing its settings until you lose a channel and go back to what worked best. Hope that helps ya out.
