I played through the game at least twice without adding any mods...maybe WalMart sells modded copies of the game. At least the little one hour later thing. The part where the camera doesn't fade out is a mod.

That got added much later, believe it or not, when it was felt that the Bastila romance really felt like it vanished considering what happens to her. I've put the important part in bold Since Gaider co-wrote Bastila as well as the romance itself, I figure he know what he is talking about. Did you buy the game from a shady guy off the streets for two thirds of the original price? If so, that might explain it. I have never gotten the "One Hour Later" thing.

But, maybe that's just me. If it amuses you to think more happened then a kiss, then more power to you. Kisses are awesome, too, though.
