`Fenris` Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Here's the deal: I want to install, among other things, the slenderbodyf_v11.zip mod, along with the TSL Kreia's Robes mod, for starters. Here's the problem: The slender body mod comes with its own appearance.2DA, which makes sense. So does the Kreia's robes mod. Here's the problem: I can't get the Kreia's robe mod to modify the slender appearance.2DA, and I don't know how to merge the things. This thread seemed to be the only thing that mentioned it, but I don't seem to see a solution there. What, if anything, can I do to fix this and get them to cooperate in a single 2DA? Thanks in advance!
TriggerGod Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 I'm not familiar with either of those mods. Just out of curiosity, do either of those mods use the TSLPatcher?
`Fenris` Posted July 12, 2008 Author Posted July 12, 2008 The Kreia's Robes mod does. It's available here and the other one is available from here. Apparently, they're different formats, so I can't just manually combine them. Bother!
TriggerGod Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Don't. Purge your override of those 2 mods. Install the bodies first, then Kreia. Always use the TSLPatcher mod over the manual mod.
`Fenris` Posted July 12, 2008 Author Posted July 12, 2008 I've tried that---the TSL Patcher complains that the slender appearance.2da isn't in the right format, which is true, and I don't know how to fix that. Got any ideas?
TriggerGod Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Hmm.... The TSLPatcher shouldn't be making that error... I'm out of ideas. Sorry
`Fenris` Posted July 12, 2008 Author Posted July 12, 2008 Oh, interesting. I took another look at the filefront page where I got the slender mod from, and it appears that someone else has run into this problem. This file may be exactly what I need. Will report back.
`Fenris` Posted July 12, 2008 Author Posted July 12, 2008 It appears that it took, at least from the patcher's standpoint. Now I'm trying to properly hack out the right targa files from the standard data and make those stick. Hopefully, it'll work. Thanks for answering---you got me to think about the problem.
Sgt. Strike Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 What you need to merge .2da's, without a patcher, is the Convert .2da's. I don't remember where I found my copy, but I do know it is listed. One other thing, it can change your .2da's, as well, I think.
