no maps

i was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of multiplayer maps, they dont seem to load when i try to join a game, because i apparently dont have them, even though some of the servers appear to be running stock maps (they work in japlus) i have autodl on if that matters in the errormessage.

 

edit: i got the stock to load, but there were only bots on the test server

Not sure if i'm pointing out the obvious but are you sure you have put the maps in your base folder? or if you have them at all?

^use that to find most of the popular maps, same pcgamemods aint around anymore that place rocked.

 

EDIT: also most servers will have auto d/l off due to an exploit with the server.cfg

Turning Auto-Download off should fix the issue, provided you do have the map.

yes, i put the maps in the base folder, but the server im trying to connect to isnt recognizing the fact that the file is already there. specifically, the server is running a map called z_vadersapprentice_ra.pk3 i already have it, but it keeps trying to download

Well mebbe you don't then, but disable auto downloads and it won't try and download.
